the gumtree guest house offers excellent hospitality. with clean rooms and a friendly atmosphere. breakfast was remarkable, featuring local produce and made-to-order eggs. the owners provided useful area tips and an inviting bar for evening relaxation.

Had an amazing getaway with friends! Gerry helped us book a fantastic restaurant and set up a great driving route through the mountains. The guest house was clean, and we loved the relaxing outdoor areas and the best breakfast ever. The location was perfect, allowing us to visit local hiking trails nearby.

The only downside was minor issues with check-in timing, which could've been smoother. Otherwise, everything else was spot on.

A wonderful stay with incredible hospitality

I had a fantastic time in Oudtshoorn! The host Gerry truly embodies South African hospitality and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. My room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the essentials. Plus, the breakfast was outstanding, with a wonderful spread that included freshly baked items. If there's any downside, it's the extreme heat outside, but my room's air conditioning was a lifesaver.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with the fridge stocked for those late-night snacks. The breakfast spread is something else—the best I've had on my travels, offering almost everything you'd want after a long drive.

While the air conditioning does its job, the load shedding can hit hard, making the outside heat feel extra punishing. the swimming pool is quite small. nice views but not much lounging space. The location is convenient for walking into town, but signage could be improved for easier navigation. it's decent but a few tweaks could elevate the experience.
